Lauren Wells is a screenwriter and educator. She most recently wrote on FX's Emmy-nominated series What We Do in the Shadows, and adapted Bram Stoker's Dracula as the scripted podcast Mina + Lucy's Guide to Slaying Dracula, starring Bradley Whitford. Prior to that, she worked in support staff roles on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Happy!, Luke Cage, and Angelyne, among others.

Lauren is a member of the screenwriting faculty at the American Film Institute Conservatory. She holds an M.F.A. in Writing and Producing for Television from LIU Brooklyn and a B.A. in English from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She also studied improv and sketch comedy at UCB in New York.

Originally from a horse farm in Central New York, she now lives in Los Angeles with her rescue dog, Mr. Feeny.
